Constance Opara's Cybersecurity Portfolio
Hello and welcome to my Cybersecurity Portfolio!
Kevin Mitnick states that the "human factor is security’s weakest link".
About Me
My name is Constance Opara, and I recently completed my degree in Cybersecurity from Houston Community College. During my academic journey, I was an active member of the HCC Cybersecurity Club and the Computer Science Association, where I collaborated with peers and industry professionals on real-world cybersecurity challenges.
I participated in cybersecurity competitions like the National Cyber League (NCL). I completed hands-on projects, including the NICE Challenge (XP Range), which helped sharpen my skills in ethical hacking, network defense, and digital forensics. In addition, I completed a series of technical labs, including Network Development Group (NDG) NETLAB+, CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701), and CompTIA CySA+, where I gained practical experience in threat intelligence, cryptography, and incident response.
I am currently enhancing my skills through TryHackMe and other lab-based platforms to stay current with emerging threats and modern defense strategies. In addition to hands-on technical work, I’ve also developed a strong foundation in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) through exposure to frameworks like NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO/IEC 27001, along with experience using GRC-aligned labs and scenarios. I understand the critical role that policy, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance play in building secure and resilient organizations. I look forward to contributing to teams that take a holistic approach to cybersecurity.
One of my greatest inspirations is Dr. Angeline Dean, whose words continue to guide me:
"Security is not a product, but a process — and perseverance is key."
I am proud to showcase the projects and certifications I’ve earned along the way and look forward to growing further as a cybersecurity professional committed to integrity, innovation, and impact.
Thank you for visiting my portfolio.
